
Dr. Tie
Cynthia Tie M.D. is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and mother to two sons raised in Tallahassee. Born in Semarang, Indonesia, Dr. Tie immigrated to the Netherlands as a child, where she lived until the completion of her medical degree from the University of Leiden. Upon graduating in 1992, she came to the United States for the first time as a research fellow at the University of Miami, where she met her husband.
She completed a transitional internship program at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. After her Dermatology residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami in 1999, she served on the faculty for several years. In January 2002, Dr. Tie relocated for a final time to Tallahassee, when her husband accepted a faculty position at Florida State University, which he still serves. Shortly thereafter, she opened her first private practice, which stands in its current form as Family Dermatology of North Florida.
She recently received training and certification in the emerging field of integrative Dermatology, which guides her treatment philosophy. Incorporating a whole-body approach and personalized treatments, Dr. Tie provides patients with the latest evidence-based treatment in the field of pediatric and general dermatology. She has an affinity for treatments of hidradenitis, hair loss, and cosmetic dermatology, which includes laser procedures, botox, fillers, and medium-depth chemical peels.

Dr. Pascoe
Dr. Pascoe received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with a focus in jazz piano. He then went to Duke University Medical School, and while in medical school obtained a master’s degree in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his internship in Pediatrics at UNC, followed by his residency in Dermatology. Dr. Pascoe is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His professional interests include skin allergies, general dermatology, skin cancer, pediatric dermatology, and ultraviolet light treatments. Dr. Pascoe provides patients specific expertise in the latest developments and research in allergic contact dermatitis. He uses extended allergen series patch tests and regularly sees referrals from other local dermatologists and allergists.
Dr. Pascoe was raised in the Midwest spending time in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Michigan. While studying in North Carolina he met his wife who is from Florida. After residency training, the couple moved to Tallahassee in 2008 to be closer to family. When not working, Dr. Pascoe likes to spend time outside fishing, kayaking, and hiking with his two boys. Dr. Pascoe is also a wildlife photographer who shows locally at venues including Cypress and Sage. His work can be viewed at davidpascoephotography.com as well as in the office.

Dr. Barranco
Dr. Clara Barranco is a board-certified dermatologist, who was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. She attended Florida State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. She received her Medical Doctor degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine where she was awarded the high honor of induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed an internship year in Internal Medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center, followed by her Dermatology training in Jacksonville, FL where she served as Chief Dermatology Resident during her final year. She is a proud member of the Women’s Dermatological Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons, and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Barranco has returned to her hometown in Tallahassee, FL and she has a passion for serving her community. She specializes in treating patients with complex medical dermatology conditions, pediatric conditions, and performing cosmetic procedures including botox/neurotoxin and soft tissue augmentation with fillers. Additionally, she has a love for surgical dermatology and tissue reconstruction.
When she is not working, she enjoys time with family, friends, her fiancé, and their two sweet dogs. She lives an active life and enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, paddle-boarding, exercising and woodworking.
